A 6-9 kW heater and a half to one HP chiller are sized for both the house supply and the compound set: separate breaker, 30 mA ELCB, compressor soft start and a 60-second restart delay after an interruption.
Framing, 50 mm rockwool, aluminium foil vapour barrier, 20 mm ventilation cavity, then cedar or thermowood. Omit the foil or the cavity and mould appears behind the lining within two or three years.
Titanium heat exchanger, coated condenser coil and 316 stainless fittings for plunge chillers going to Batakan, Manggar and the Klandasan seafront.
Panels of 600-900 mm joined with cam-locks, a lift-out floor deck and a 32 A industrial connector for the heater: one day to strip, one to two days to refit.

From first message to commissioning, in eight steps
Every stage has a stated deadline, and nothing is chargeable until you approve the quote.
State the compound or district, the room dimensions and the PLN rating or generator capacity. A project manager calls back within working hours.
Three or four photographs of the space and of the distribution board give us a first price band and a load estimate.
The technician measures the room, cable route, ventilation and drainage. Outside the city, surveys join a planned trip.
A rendering of the unit in your room plus a line-by-line quote: materials, heater, electrics, freight, travel and dates.
Wall panels, benches, frames and doors are made in the Balikpapan Selatan workshop while the electrical design is settled.
On site: two to four weeks for a home sauna, one to two weeks for a cold plunge, one to two days for infrared.
The heater is taken to 80 degrees, the chiller to its set point, and the ELCB and ventilation are tested, on generator supply too where one exists.
You receive the two-year structural warranty card, the heater factory warranty, the electrical schematic and the service schedule.

What a Balikpapan specification has to account for
Three conditions govern every unit we build here. The city runs at 24-31 degrees with humidity near 80 per cent and rain that can arrive in any month, so wall build-ups need a foil vapour barrier and a 20 mm ventilation cavity, and no outdoor cabin leaves the workshop without its own roof. The coastal strip through Batakan, Manggar and Klandasan carries salt in the air year round, which is why plunge chillers destined for those addresses get a titanium heat exchanger and stainless fittings rather than the standard package.
Building stock is the second factor. Two-storey houses of 250-400 square metres in the Balikpapan Baru and Grand City compounds, and the newer streets around Sepinggan and Gunung Bakaran, generally already hold 7,700-11,000 VA with a 10-20 kVA standby set, so a four to six person cabin can go in without touching the supply. Older houses in Klandasan, Prapatan and Gunung Sari Ilir often remain on 2,200-4,400 VA, where we either price the PLN upgrade first or move the client to an infrared cabin at 1.7-2.4 kW.
The third factor is who is asking. Expatriate families and project managers on one to three year leases want a unit that leaves with them, not a permanent improvement to somebody else's house. Facilities managers at oil, gas, coal and construction companies are buying recovery space for rotation crews, where a sauna and two plunges may run sixteen hours a day and must survive a power interruption without damage. Hotels in the city, in Samarinda and around the new capital at Nusantara form a third stream, and they want drawings, a schedule and a contractor whose technicians live in Kalimantan.

What does a sauna cost in Balikpapan?
Indicative figures: a custom sauna of 2x2 m for four people IDR 60-120 million, a modular unit for one or two people IDR 15-35 million installed, an infrared cabin IDR 30-70 million, a steam room of 2x2 m IDR 50-100 million and a cold plunge with chiller IDR 45-90 million. Will the sauna run on the compound generator?
Yes, on two conditions. The set needs headroom: a four-person cabin at 6 kW with a one HP chiller wants at least 10 kVA, an eight-person cabin at 9 kW with two chillers around 15 kVA. And the compressor needs a soft start with a delayed heater contactor, so nothing restarts simultaneously with the air conditioning when supply returns.
We lease the house for two years. What happens at the end?
That case is what our modular units are designed for. Cam-locked panels, a floor deck that sits on the existing tiles and a plug-in heater connection mean the unit is stripped in a day and refitted at the next address in one to two, leaving no wet trades behind. See modular sauna.
Can you invoice a company and work to a procurement schedule?
Yes. We are a PT PMA, we issue itemised quotes suitable for tender comparison, and for corporate projects the payment stages can follow the main contractor's milestones. Drawings, load schedules and the handover pack are supplied in English and Indonesian.
Do you cover Samarinda, Bontang and Nusantara?
Yes. Samarinda and Bontang are reached by the toll road, Nusantara and Penajam via the Pulau Balang bridge or the ferry. Outside Balikpapan, survey and installation are combined into planned visits and travel appears as a separate line in the quote.
Our house is on 4,400 VA. What are the options?
Three. An infrared cabin at 1.7-2.4 kW needs no upgrade and is fitted in one to two days. A two-person dry sauna at 3.6 kW needs 5,500 VA, a single step up. A four-person cabin at 6 kW needs 7,700 VA; the PLN upgrade is paid by the owner and we quote the board, cable and ELCB work around it.
